The increase of entropy is an applicable allegory for accelerating powers within our current times; such as technical development, climate change, acts of violence and political discourses. The woven surface, with its straight lines of warp and weft, can act as a sort of stability in this ongoing chaos. Alongside (and inside) weaving I find the horizontal line, another dependable representative. They both work as a framework in the instability that surrounds us, becoming a structure within the arbitrary.

Terese Molin works around ideas of chaos, order, time, un-time, light and materiality, letting the framework and systems of weaving, in hand with visceral interpretation of colour, lead the way. Molin holds an MFA in Craft, Textile Art from HDK-Valand, Gothenburg (2023) and has since had several solo exhibitions as well as being part of interdisciplinary collaborations.
