The increase of entropy is an applicable allegory for accelerating powers within our current times; such as technical development, climate change, acts of violence and political discourses. The woven surface, with its straight lines of warp and weft, can act as a sort of stability in continuing chaos.
Alongside (and inside) weaving I find the horizontal line, another dependable representative. They both work as a framework in the instability that surrounds us, becoming a structure, within the arbitrary.

Terese Molin works around ideas of chaos, order, time, un-time and materiality, letting the framework and systems of weaving, in hand with visceral interpretation of light and colour, lead the way. Molin holds an MFA in Craft, Textile Art from HDK-Valand, Gothenburg (2023) and has since showed her work in several exhibitions, as well as taken part in interdisciplinary collaborations.
